Magnificent brooch depicting a parrot, vintage and rare, created by the famous French designer Léa Stein in Bakelite. Brooch signed «LEA STEIN PARIS». It is in very good condition despite the years (period 1968–1980). This series was already very sought-after in the years 1968–1980 (the information concerning this brooch can be found in the book Léa Stein Jewelry by Judith Just).
All Léa Stein items are still largely handmade. There are not two identical. The brooches are fixed using a thermal bonding process, which can sometimes leave unusual marks or scratches on the back or around the fixing area. This is perfectly normal and does not constitute a defect.
This brooch is a true collectible piece, emblematic of the refined style of the late 1960s.
