Poster of “Surrounded Islands”, one of the most emblematic projects of Christo and Jeanne-Claude, internationally recognized artists for their monumental interventions in landscape and public space.
Made in 1983 in Biscayne Bay, Miami, the project consisted of surrounding several islands with large surfaces of pink floating fabric, creating one of the most spectacular and innovative installations of Land Art and 20th-century contemporary art.
The work fully reflects the artistic approach characteristic of Christo and Jeanne-Claude, based on ephemeral large-scale installations that temporarily transformed the perception of the natural and urban environment.
