Description from the seller
Title: Fragmented Face #40
Series: The 1000 Faces
Technique: Acrylic on canvas
This work presents a portrait of an extraordinary visual force, where geometric synthesis achieves a high level of structural complexity. The central element is an elaborate facet-cut turban, built through a network of triangular and polygonal planes in a palette that blends pinks, oranges, blues, and grays, creating an almost architectural volume atop the head. The face, symmetrically divided, shows one half in vibrant orange and the other in pale yellow, establishing a dialogue of warm contrasts.
The gaze is dramatically fragmented: while the left eye appears natural within the style, the right is pierced by a dense vertical black stripe that runs down to the jaw, adding a sense of mystery and psychological depth to the piece. The neck, in a deep garnet tone, blends with a torso divided into dark blue and orange, all framed by a background of rectangular blocks in yellow, red, and blue that reinforce the solidity of the composition.
The result is an impactful painting that balances portrait tradition with avant-garde abstraction. The precision in executing the facets of the turban and the audacity of the black stripe turn this work into a key piece for collectors seeking contemporary art with a powerful, sophisticated, and deeply original visual narrative.
The canvas is rolled carefully and securely packaged in a sturdy tube for shipping.
The images you are seeing now are examples of how the artwork may look when framed and hung on a wall.

Artistic Series:
The 1000 Faces is an evolving artistic project conceived as a collection, planned both for its conceptual value and its projection in the contemporary art market. The series proposes the creation of 1000 original works, each unique, numbered and linked to a single recognizable visual language, making the set a solid and collectible body of work.
My artistic practice centers on reinterpretation of the portrait through a geometric and contemporary approach. Each face is built from color planes, defined lines, and fragmented structures that generate balanced yet dynamically altered compositions. This tension between order and rupture gives each piece its own identity, while maintaining coherence within the series.
The use of color is intentional and strategic: contrasts between warm and cool tones that provide visual strength and immediate appeal, qualities especially valued on platforms like Catawiki, where first impressions matter. Clean, modern, and highly recognizable compositions ease their integration into different spaces, both private and professional.
From a collector’s perspective, The 1000 Faces is framed as a progressive opportunity to acquire. Each work is numbered (e.g., #001 / 1000), reinforcing its limited character within the global project and adding long-term value. As the series grows, so does its relevance and coherence as a group, increasing interest for collectors.
This project not only offers visually impactful pieces but also a clear and consistent narrative: an exploration of contemporary identity through repetition, variation, and formal synthesis. In the online sales context, these qualities allow positioning each work not only as a decorative piece but as part of an artistic project with vision, continuity, and potential for value growth.
The 1000 Faces is designed to be collected, evolved, and solidified as a recognizable series within accessible contemporary art.
