This is a handcrafted Japanese red lacquer tea caddy by artist Koshihiko, decorated with intricate gold and silver temari (thread ball) patterns using traditional makie techniques. It comes with its original paulownia wood box and is designed for storing matcha, combining functionality with classic Japanese tea ceremony aesthetics.

It comes complete with its original paper box and a descriptive certificate explaining the history of Tosa Ancient-nuri, a craft developed in the Meiji era by the lacquer artist Toda Housui.
