Description from the seller
Contemporary Image Creator - Photographer Artist
Multidisciplinary photographer-artist, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on gaze, presence and the perception of image in urban space.
He first made himself known through a series devoted to storefront mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and overlaid images. This research on gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021.
Later drawn to the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he extends this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost alive presence, questioning our relationship to illusion and projection.
New Series - Skylines
In this series David Law explores pared-down urban horizons where architectural lines and reflections dialogue with vast, nuanced skies. Each composition plays on the balance between presence and silence, sometimes punctuated by a minimal element, a bird or a boat, which suggests scale and movement. This work sits within a visual practice nourished by the use of contemporary graphical tools, serving an aesthetic that is both contemplative and structured.
Edition & Fabrication
Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by an authenticity certificate.
The prints are produced on aluminum with a backing mount.

Career
Since 2014, David Law has participated in around twenty Contemporary Art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also a dedicated photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. In parallel with his visual activity, he develops a body of work as an author and musician, including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a comic book, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. Vocalist and guitarist, he currently performs with the group FRENZY.
