Object description
Presented is a unique three-dimensional artwork (Unique Piece 1/1) by the international French urban pop-art artist Lacrymal (Jimmy). This work is part of his innovative series titled "Transparent Media Pop". In this series Lacrymal explores the co-existence of image qualities found on the internet. Low and high resolutions stand side by side as a form of digital graffiti or a visual fresco projection of social diversity. The transparency of the plexiglass carrier evokes the aesthetics of an open browser window. This gives the viewer the chance to look through the image and enter the layered complexity of contemporary street art. The composition combines directly recognizable motifs from pop art and street art into a harmonious whole:

About the Artist & Exhibitions
Lacrymal, the pseudonym of the Aubervilliers-born artist Jimmy in 1990, started his artistic journey in street art. The urban practice with spray can use in the open air formed his basis for shapes and motifs that break with traditional art history. In 2018 he adopted the name Lacrymal, a direct reference to the tear gland. The artist enjoys international gallery representation and his original paintings and sculptures are sold worldwide to collectors via curated platforms and auctions. The "Transparent Media Pop" style made its official debut during his much-praised Solo Show (September - November 2022). Since then the series has become a fixed part of his exhibition schedule and his unique works are represented at leading contemporary art fairs across Europe.
