Albert Embrechts (Oirschot, 30 November 1914 - Genk, 27 May 1997) was a Belgian figurative artist. He is best known for his snowy landscapes and other Kempen landscapes characterized by heather, birch trees, and so on. This earned him the nickname The Painter of Light.
But he also painted other subjects such as still lifes, nudes, portraits, church interiors, and religious motifs. He also restored old paintings and made copies of works by old masters.
At the Saint Lawrence Church in Hamont he donated a Descent from the Cross of Christ (1988) and a Our Lady of the Heath (1991). Embrechts lived much of his life in Hamont, because his wife came from there.
