Description from the seller
Nicole Lubbers has been active at an international level for years in the contemporary art world. Her work has been exhibited in cities such as New York, Prague and this month in Colling. She has exhibited twice in Times Square and achieved second place at the World Art Awards. Additionally, she has participated in various international biennials and her work is represented in multiple galleries spread across Europe.
With her newest collection, Nicole Lubbers is setting a distinctly new artistic course. While her international experience remains perceptible, she now consciously chooses stillness, layering, and authenticity. In her recent works she explores the fragile beauty of memory, fading, and emotional resonance.
Working with sustainable oil colors, acrylic, and charcoal, she creates aesthetic compositions that feel like faded manuscripts of memory — intuitive, poetic, and raw at the same time. Her canvases balance between abstraction and recognizability, between silence and movement. Each work bears traces of emotion, time, and human presence.
The works are produced on stretched canvas of 50 x 70 cm and deliberately presented without a frame. This preserves the purity of the work and gives the collector the freedom to tailor the artwork fully to their interior and experience — with or without a frame.
For Nicole Lubbers, art is no longer about image alone, but about feeling, memory, and matter. Her new series forms an intimate encounter between sustainability, aesthetics, and personal expression — a rediscovery of painting and drawing in their most authentic form. This work comes with a certificate of authenticity.
