Oil on canvas by Iris Michelle Raquin depicting a sailing regatta.
Dimensions of the painting alone: 33 x 55 cm, including the frame: 41.5 x 64 cm. The canvas is in perfect condition, the frame with a few very light scratches.
Iris Raquin, born Michelle Raquin, is a French painter born in Saint-Menoux in the Allier in 1923 and died in Nice in 2016. She studied at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Clermont-Ferrand, then refined her skills in Paris with Emmanuel Fougerat and at the Atelier de la Grande Chaumière. From 1956, Iris Raquin exhibited and participated in numerous salons, in Allier, in Paris and in the Alpes-M Maritimes.
