Magnificent rare very large handcrafted chest, made of Thuya wood and mother-of-pearl, mid 1900s.

Splendid in solid wood with inlaid marquetry and mother-of-pearl. An impressive, high-quality heavy piece; the wood emits a very pleasant scent typical of the thuya tree.

In good overall condition for its age, a few small defects hardly noticeable, notably a small missing piece at the bottom corner (see photo). This does not affect at all the stability or beauty of the chest.
