A hand-signed original acrylic painting by Vincenzo Raimondo, Hidden Reflections (2026), a multicolour portrait in expressionist style, 70 × 50 cm, from Italy, in good condition.
Description from the seller
These two acrylics from the Look series stage opposing but complementary personalities: on one side a gaze hidden behind cold, distant reflections, on the other a vivid, piercing eye that immediately commands attention.
The rapid and almost impulsive lines cross the faces like thoughts in disarray, while the chromatic details of the lips and the eye become the true emotional center of the work. Two modern, intense and direct paintings, capable of transforming a simple face into a presence. Because in the end it only takes one well-done look to say more than entire conversations. Everyday tragedy of humanity, fundamentally.
The series “Gazes” explores the emotional power of the human face through intense, fragmented, and deeply contemporary compositions. The eyes, the lips, and the facial details emerge among swift lines, overlays, and instinctive brushstrokes, creating images suspended between elegance and unease.
Each work captures a different emotion without telling it openly: the viewer is drawn in by the gaze, yet at the same time left free to interpret its meaning. The faces are never fully defined, almost dissolving among hair, marks, and movement, turning the portrait into a more emotional than realistic perception.
The delicate color tones of the backgrounds contrast with the decisive black of the graphic lines and with the strong presence of the lips and the eyes, elements that become the visual center of the piece. A series with strong aesthetic impact, capable of uniting sensuality, mystery, and modernity in a style that is immediately recognizable.
Here there is no perfect catalog-patined portrait. There is the elegant chaos of human identity, hidden behind a look that seems to appear and disappear in the same instant.
***Disclaimer***
Every artwork is born from the meeting between artistic expression and artisanal craft.
The painting represents the main creative element, while the support (canvas and materials) is an integral part of a careful and conscious production process.
The canvases used are selected with particular attention to quality and, where possible, environmental sustainability, favoring recycled or low-impact materials. In some cases, the supports may be made or finished by hand, even through the reuse of materials.
Any slight imperfections of the support should not be considered defects, but testimonies of the manual process and the artisanal nature of the product. Such features do not in any way compromise the artistic value and integrity of the work, but rather reinforce its uniqueness.
Each painting is therefore to be understood as a unique piece, the fruit of a process that combines creativity, craftsmanship, and responsible attention to materials.
