- I created my image for Falen Art with the aim of building a unique, modern and elegant visual identity capable of representing my artistic work and my values.
After studying graphic design in Namur and a strong taste for travel and cultural diversity, Natalie Matis’s vocation for porcelain was born in China during a trip.
Upon returning to Belgium, she joined the Porcepolis workshop in Brussels, where she deepened her particular taste for porcelain; she loves this material for its whiteness, its nobility, its translucence, its intimacy with glaze and its softness.
She offers a range of decorative objects with a minimalist design.
For several years, Nathalie Matis refined her ceramic studies in various studios and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Braine L’Alleud with ceramist Geert van Der Borght.
Passionate about ceramics, she autodidactically explores different techniques and has a marked fascination for raku, a mysterious encounter of mastery and randomness, a fragile adventure between the ceramist’s dream and metamorphosis.
