Description from the seller
Art Nouveau-style table lamp with a remarkable naturalistic vine decoration.
The mount, finely worked, adopts the shape of a winding tendril entwined with cut grapevines and raised clusters, in a play of curved, organic lines characteristic of the 1900s aesthetic.
The whole rests on a circular base entirely clad with large stylized grape leaves, while the stem, treated as a living vine, unfolds with elegance in a highly sculptural upward movement.
This vegetal composition, with strong decorative impact, accurately reflects Art Nouveau’s taste for forms borrowed from nature.
The conical marmoreal glass shade, in luminous tones of yellow tinged with reddish orange, animates the whole with a warm and refined presence.
The contrast between the vibrant polychromy of the glass and the deep patina of the mount further reinforces the precious character of this lamp.
Both a light fixture and a decorative art object, this piece charms with its naturalist elegance, its expressive silhouette, and its decidedly Art Nouveau spirit.
