“Color Between the Pages”
This painting was created in oil on canvas using expressive textured brushwork and palette knife techniques. I worked in multiple layers to achieve a vibrant surface where light, shadow, and texture interact naturally. Thick impasto strokes give depth to the roses, fabric, and old stone wall, allowing the painting to change character depending on the light in the room.
In this work, I wanted to capture a quiet and intimate moment suspended in time. A young woman absorbed in reading sits in an old window surrounded by blooming roses and warm summer light. For me, this scene is about inner peace, imagination, and the silent beauty of solitude. The open window becomes a symbol of freedom and reflection, while the flowers create a feeling of tenderness and fleeting memory.
I intentionally combined soft luminous tones with rich textured details to create a romantic and emotional atmosphere. The painting balances impressionistic lightness with contemporary expressive texture, making it both elegant and alive when viewed in person.
This artwork is meant not only to decorate a space, but to create a feeling — warmth, calmness, and poetic silence. It works beautifully in modern interiors, bedrooms, living spaces, or creative studios. The physical texture and dimensional brushwork make the original artwork impossible to fully reproduce in photographs, giving the collector a truly unique visual experience.
Certificate of authenticity included.
