Le Yack (1972) - Laundromat - Hand signed

An American laundromat — white neon, rows of washing machines, white tiles, a red counter. In the middle of this functional and ordinary space, a woman in a black latex bodysuit and black stiletto heels leans forward, her hair cascading toward the floor, in a posture of absolutely misplaced grace — or perfectly at home, depending.
Le Yack continues his exploration of ordinary places inhabited by extraordinary presences. The laundromat is the anti-gallery — and that’s precisely where he chooses to place his most sculpted, most unreal figure. The stark contrast between the harsh neon light and the silhouette’s black elegance says all there is for Le Yack to say about beauty: it does not ask for permission.

Le Yack, emerging French pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, known as Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he joined the École Supérieure d’Art et de Design (ESAD) of Orléans. Former artistic director in publishing and on the web. Instagram @leyack45. He is exhibited within a network of about forty galleries in France, Germany, Belgium, the United States.
