Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) - "Aurora Nova" - Hermès - 3/20
In line with the original luminous works from the Aurora Borealis collection, discover "Aurora Nova," a handmade customized bright sculpture in a limited edition of 20 exemplars for 2025, themed around the French haute couture house Hermès (this is not an official object of the brand).
A strong, minimalist and contemporary sculptural presence: the elegant mirrored sphere catches the eye when it is off, then reveals, once illuminated, an intense and hypnotic light explosion at its core.
The iconic H, suspended at the center of the sphere, becomes the focal point of the work. It seems to float in a vibrant luminous universe, creating a spectacular and immediately recognizable visual effect.
Aurora Nova embodies a pared-down, confident vision of light: a strong, direct, and immersive luminous signature, designed as a true contemporary pop art work.
- LED sphere lamp with mirror effect
- Simple, immediate switch-on
- Intense signature lighting (see photos)
Limited edition lamp, numbered, signed, and delivered with an authenticity certificate "AMA".
Fast and careful shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper, and cardboard) with signature on delivery.
Dimensions: 12 x 9 x 9 cm
Year of creation: 2025
Place of creation: France
Who is Pope?
Pope, co-founder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe driven by a practice in visual arts since childhood, a strict attention to detail, and meticulous visual research.
Through sculptures, paintings, and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes, and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and awed gaze, attentive to both the simplicity and complexity of the world around him.
Pope chiefly draws inspiration from the world around him but also from various movements of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name a few.
Whether for a gift, a memory, or your personal collection of contemporary art, you will easily find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his passion for urban art through street art (streetart) and pop art (popart) (in limited or non-limited editions), tackling a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug harms, luxury and haute couture brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, agro-food and fashion products (sports, sneakers, ...).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope enjoys playfully subverting labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to appreciate the lot being sold is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description, and photos... After the sale, no unfounded claims will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
