Two antique medical items from the United Kingdom dating to 1900–1910, including a pewter enema pump with a fruitwood plunger and the Veedee Massager (circa 1905), both in good used condition with minor signs of aging, disassemblable for shipping and measuring 31.5 × 28 × 6 cm.

Two medical items:
A large antique French enema pump fashioned from pewter with a fruit wood plunger, designed for self administration it comes from a time when enemas were a mainstay of medicine. This enema syringe, also known as a Clyster, reflects the early nineteenth-century belief in the benefits of purging the body on a regular basis. The French title is "Clystère soi-même ' reflecting the self administration aspect.
The syringe easily disassembles and reassembles and all parts appear to be in good working order - this item will be disassembled into two parts for shipping, it measures 31.5 x 28 x 6cm.
A fascinating relic of Edwardian "Mechanical Therapeutics." This is the original Veedee Massager, retailed by J. E. Garratt of London circa 1905.
A masterpiece of turn-of-the-century engineering, the Veedee operates entirely without electricity. Through a series of internal gears and a weighted balance, turning the hand-crank produces a powerful, soothing vibration. In its day, it was heralded as a miracle cure for the "stresses of modern life" and various physical ailments.
