Description from the seller
Max-Daniel — The Good Samaritan
Original and unique work by Max-Daniel, a Parisian artist born in 1957, Doctor of Arts and Sciences of Art from the Sorbonne.
This composition revisits the biblical theme of the Good Samaritan, a major evangelical parable about compassion, aid to others, and fraternity beyond affiliations. The artist depicts the scene in a dramatic atmosphere, almost Caravaggesque, where light seems to emerge from the shadow to underscore the caring gesture.
The dark, golden, and earthy hues, combined with the gilded wooden frame, give the work a strong presence, at once classical, spiritual, and contemporary.
Max-Daniel is a professional artist registered with URSSAF. Active for more than fifty years, he uses both traditional techniques, such as oil painting, and the latest artistic tools, including artificial intelligence.
The work is signed at the bottom right.
On the back is a handwritten note by the artist: “Max-Daniel authentic, original and unique.”
The painting is framed in a gilded wooden frame, specially chosen for this piece, with a glossy finish and protection achieved by two coats of varnish. The hanging system is already installed: the work is ready to be hung.
