Who is Pope?
Pope, cofounder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe driven by a practice of the visual arts since childhood, a high standard of detail and meticulous visual research.
Through sculptures, paintings and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and amazed gaze, attentive to both the simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.
Pope primarily draws inspiration from the world around him but also from movements of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name a few.
Whether it’s a gift, a keepsake or your personal collection of contemporary art, you will easily find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope channels his passion for urban art through street art (streetart) and pop art (popart) (in limited edition or not), exploring a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, the harms of drugs, luxury brands and high fashion, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, products of the agri-food and fashion industries (sports, sneakers...),
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope likes to mischievously remix labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to assess the lot is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos... After the sale, no unwarranted claim will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
