River Memory - Hand signed is a 40 x 40 cm giclée on canvas, limited edition of 20, hand-signed by the artist, created in 2026, produced in France and sold directly from the artist, in excellent condition, dating to 2020 and after.
Description from the seller
Rendered in sepia tones of a daguerreotype or a dream half-forgotten, a solitary elephant wades on the bank of a tropical river. Palms melt into the mist. Sailboats drift in the distance. The sky is like aged paper, the entire scene imbued with the patina of another century.
Le Yack here shifts radically in register – moving from a cinematic portrayal to a form closer to colonial-era natural history painting, filtered through the prism of digital alchemy. The altered texture, burnt edges, golden haze: this image belongs on the wall of a library or in an explorer’s cabinet. It is a world both remembered and invented.
Le Yack, emerging French pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, aka Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he joined the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design (ESAD) of Orléans. He is a creative director in publishing and on the web. Instagram @leyack45.
