ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Castle on a Bedside Table (2003) is a line etching on cream Fabriano paper,
printed in a limited edition of 39 prints.
The work depicts a simple yet evocative scene: a toy castle rests
on an old bedside table, against a weathered wall that casts shadows laden with memory.
Beyond its understated composition, the piece stands out for its emotional power. The artist recovers intimate objects from his past, transforming them into an image of profound nostalgia. Textures such as the rustic floor or the flaking paint reinforce this dialogue between time and memory, turning the scene into a poetic testimony to lived experience.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Cebrian is the artistic pseudonym of Juan Manuel Álvarez Cebrián (Madrid, 1966), an award-winning Spanish figurative realist painter, under which he signs his more abstract work. In his photorealistic works, landscapes, animals, and the study of simple forms and textures take priority. Cebrián has exhibited in art galleries such as Stoa, Triart, Arte Roma in Zaragoza, and Galería Este in Santander, Spain. Juan Manuel Álvarez Cebrián's style is figurative and sometimes realistic, as he prefers this to hyperrealistic painting so that it can be explained. His favorite discipline is engraving, because he considers it an exciting technique. His works are mainly done in oil, watercolor, charcoal, and graphite. In terms of medium, he prefers those made of wood or linen due to their great nobility when work
