- Condition: Good, with signs of wear; there is tape on it for protection.
HISTORY:
The Olympic torch of the XXV Olympic Games, designed by the Catalan André Ricard Sala, visited in 39 days the 17 autonomous communities, covering more than 6,000 km. It passed through 652 locations and stopped at 60. A total of 9,500 carriers participated.
On 24 July it made its triumphal entry into Barcelona from Palma de Mallorca and was greeted with a multitudinous celebration that lasted all night in all the districts of the city. The next day it arrived on time at the Olympic Stadium, and its final relay, the Paralympic athlete Antonio Rebollo, by means of a bow-shot from the center of the stage, was the one responsible for igniting the cauldron, thereby inaugurating the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games.
