Original edition by POPLEA, titled - BLACK LINE XXL— by POPLEA (2000), an acrylic painting on 100 × 81 cm, signed by hand, produced in 2020 or later, in excellent condition, sold by Galerie, depicting Culture Pop in the optical art style.
Description from the seller
TECHNIQUE UNIQUE in the world, a blend of black concrete and pure liquid fluorescent pigment
Experimental mixed technique made from hand-tinted concrete with deep black pigments, then molded and sculpted in relief before being carefully filled with incandescent orange pigments.
At the boundary between painting, modeling, and contemporary wall sculpture, this work develops an organic and luminous texture entirely singular. Each line is hand-worked, creating a play of material, depth, and visual vibration impossible to reproduce mechanically.
This exclusive technique, developed by the artist, gives the piece an almost architectural presence: depending on light and viewing angle, the reliefs capture space and reveal a changing intensity between mineral-black shadow and volcanic orange energy.
A unique work blending contemporary art, design, and raw material, conceived as a collectible piece as much as a high-end sculptural element for a modern interior or gallery.
Popléa is a French artist who is revolutionizing kinetic and minimalist art.
Master of movement and perception, Popléa challenges how we see and feel the image.
Under a secret pseudonym, this established artist offers rare works directly to collectors, far from the usual circuits.
When their true identity is revealed, the value of these early pieces is expected to grow significantly.
A unique opportunity to collect exceptional art, at the dawn of a new chapter in contemporary creation.
The artist Popléa:
If you own this work, you hold an authentic piece signed by Popléa.
But you should know: Popléa is a pseudonym.
They have not yet revealed their identity — voluntarily. This choice is part of a broader artistic project, a form of experiment:
Create without name, without status, without biography.
The artwork alone. The image alone. What it evokes. What you feel.
The artist behind Popléa is already exhibited, recognized, collected — but chose to explore another path, freer. To reject filters, codes, discourses.
To refuse that it is always the same people — galleries, experts, networks — who decide what has value.
Maybe what you own is the beginning of something.
Or perhaps it is simply a piece that speaks to you, here and now.
Both options are beautiful.
And deep down, perhaps that is the true luxury.
The work is hand-signed, delivered ready to hang, in 4x4 packaging with insurance included.
Happy bidding
