Moonlight is an original 2026 acrylic and mixed-media painting by Giusy Curto Pelle, 126 × 107 cm, signed, Italian, contemporary, sold directly by the artist, with a certificate of authenticity and in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
The artwork is an ethereal exploration of form and matter, a silent dialogue between chromatic delicacy and the strength of the texture. On a canvas with a uniform tone that fades from chalky white to mafreperla, an organic and dynamic movement unfolds.
A trail of material, granular matter, evocative of sand that crashes diagonally across the surface with the energy of a jet of air or a flow of water.
Particles thicken and disperse, creating a three-dimensional texture that invites touch. Softer, almost imperceptible shades of chalky white surround the material core, adding depth and mystery.
A piece of exquisite material refinement, perfect for enriching spaces with contemporary and minimalist design.
Giusy Curto Pelle is a young entrepreneur. She practices her main profession in the artistic field, holding a PhD in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, but she has always nurtured a deep interest in pursuing her own artistic and expressive form.
She began her training by enrolling at the Filippo Juvara Institute of Art in San Cataldo, choosing the experimental path in Cataloguing and Surveying of Cultural Heritage. After obtaining her diploma she chose to continue her studies by enrolling at the University of Palermo, Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences, following the Course in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage.
Her love for the artistic world from a creative perspective, from which she had moved away for several years, has brought her back to this field. Her current artistic research is directed toward the right blend of tradition and innovation in search of her own artistic language.
In her works one can see the presence of traditional techniques, materials and subjects elaborated in a modern key with a contemporary style and language.
Her research and study of materials continually lead her to carry out numerous experiments; we see, for example, the use of flat or shaded colors that intersect with passages of material painting that create marks on the canvas almost forming a new texture, in relief, often highlighted by the use of metallic leaf.
The canvas is shipped rolled and carefully packaged for safe transport.
Overall dimensions: 126x107x0.1 cm.
Signed on the back.
Equipped with a certificate of authenticity.
If there are color differences they may be due to variations in the sensors of the different devices on which the image is viewed.
