Description from the seller
Hand-painted artwork by Dutch contemporary artist Alvin Silvrants. Created entirely without AI, this unique mixed media piece combines acrylic paint, aerosol, and collage techniques on a 70 x 50 cm high-gloss plexiglass panel.
The layered background consists of carefully selected magazine clippings, poster fragments, transparent spray paint, and expressive acrylic brushwork, creating depth, texture, and a vibrant urban feel. The glossy perspex surface enhances the colors and gives the artwork a luxurious finish, while the transparent material creates a subtle floating effect when mounted on a wall.
Each artwork by Alvin is completely handmade and one of a kind. While certain themes or concepts may reappear throughout his body of work, every piece differs in color composition, details, and execution. No reproductions or AI-generated elements are used.
Alvin’s artistic style blends street art influences, pop culture, humor, and nostalgic cartoon imagery. Working mainly with spray paint and acrylics, he often combines playful or provocative subjects with recognizable characters from his youth. In recent years, he has also incorporated custom toy art into his creative process, resulting in highly distinctive collectible art objects.
His work has been collected internationally and exhibited in galleries across Europe and the United States, including Banditto Art Gallery, Edge Gallery, Gallery Bauer, LA Street Galerie, KunstGalerie De Bleyenhoeve and Addictive Art’s House Street Art Gallery.
He has collaborated with internationally recognized artists such as Ben Gulak and Hannes D’Haese. His artwork has also appeared in cinemas, bars, and on various music album covers.
As this is a handmade artwork on plexiglass, minor surface imperfections or light scratches may be present, which is characteristic of the material and process, but these are generally not noticeable when displayed.
