A three‑piece hand‑blown glass vase set from the 1960s–1970s, made of glass, finished in satinato with aventurine inclusions and a Vasa Murrhina effect in blue, turquoise and green, heights 24 cm, 14 cm and 11 cm, in excellent condition with minimal wear.
Description from the seller
A stunning graduated set of three hand-blown art glass vases, featuring a sophisticated "Satinato" (frosted/acid-etched) finish. This set is a masterclass in mid-century glass techniques, combining deep aquamarine tones with a complex internal spiral.
Technical Features:
Aventurine Inclusions: The glass walls are infused with shimmering metallic flecks (Aventurine), creating a "Vasa Murrhina" effect that glows through the frosted surface.
Satinato Finish: A high-quality acid-etched exterior that provides a soft, velvet-like texture and diffuses light beautifully.
Form: Two bulbous "squat" vessels and one taller flared vase, creating a perfect graduated display.
Marking: The base of one piece features a small, symmetrical etched hallmark (a stylized "C" motif with a kind of "I"). While the specific furnace remains unidentified, the quality of the glass and the precision of the etching indicate a professional art glass studio production.
Condition Report:
Good vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or deep scratches. Bases show light, age-appropriate shelf wear.
Dimensions:
Tall Vase: 24 cm
Medium Vase: 14 cm
Small Vase: 11 cm
Expert Note:
This set captures the essence of 1960s/70s European art glass. Whether Murano, Bohemian, or French in origin, the use of metallic inclusions and the teal colour palette makes this a highly decorative and collectible "trio."
