A ceramic sculptural vase in terracotta, Italian postmodern brutalist design dating from the 1970s–1980s, measuring 22 cm high, 12 cm wide and 10 cm deep, unsigned and in good condition.
Description from the seller
Ceramic Sculptural Vase – Italian Postmodern Design from the 1970s/1980s
Elegant ceramic sculpture vase by Italian artistic design, datable to the 1970s–1980s, expression of postmodern formal language and the plastic research typical of radical design of the era.
The work is characterized by a complex architectural structure, composed of intersecting geometric volumes, cavities and openings that create an interesting play of solids and voids. The composition recalls brutalist and experimental influences, making the piece a true sculpture as well as a functional object.
The surface is finished with a glossy glaze in terracotta/orange tones, enhancing the materiality of the ceramic and the variations of light on the surfaces.
Italian production attributable to a ceramic studio area (Nove/Bassano del Grappa), unsigned.
