“Winter am Chiemsee” - Dieter Wulff
This atmospheric winter landscape painting by Dieter Wulff depicts a quiet lakeside scene at Chiemsee with snow-covered huts, bare trees and calm water. The restrained color palette and the diffuse winter light give the scene a special quiet and poetic mood.
With confident, lively brushwork, Wulff succeeds in impressively capturing the wintry atmosphere. The fine gray, blue and earth tones as well as the balanced composition create a harmonious sense of depth and make this work a very typical example of his mature landscape style.
Why this work?
This painting convinces with its calm, atmospheric visual effect and the successful fusion of nature, light and atmosphere. The reduced winter color palette and the clear composition lend the work a special elegance and decorative quality.
