Lisandro Ramacciotti was born in Viareggio in 1950, where he still lives and works. He began painting at a very young age, but it was around thirty that he began participating in group exhibitions. His first solo exhibition was in 1981, where he achieved reasonable success. This was followed by several solo exhibitions, notably in Italy and in Paris. Many of his works are in Italian, French, German, Belgian, and Spanish collections, which shows that his art is internationally recognized. He is known for his evocative female portraits that receive appreciation and recognition everywhere. Several critics have written about him, including Tommaso Paloscia, Giuseppe Cordoni, Paolo Fornaciari, and others.
