Description from the seller
Beautiful 4/4 Mittenwald violin, built by Johann REITER, (1879 - 1959), a member of the well-known violin-making family in Mittenwald. The violin has undergone a number of repairs, professionally performed by a violin maker. Recently a new bridge has been fitted to the violin. The violin is very finely built and the tone is overwhelmingly warm and dominant
The measurements are:
Total length. 59.1 cm
Scale length. 32.7 cm
Body length. 35.8 cm
Waist. 11.4 cm
Upper bout width. 16.9 cm
Lower bout width. 20.7 cm
Violin and bows that are described as 'certified' or 'accredited' contain images of their certificates and therefore have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, provenance, and age than instruments described as only 'labeled' (violin) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we provide no guarantee.
