Reinier Nogueras (1985) - ¨Modo visible¨

R. Nogueras is a contemporary artist with more than 20 years of artistic career, whose pictorial research focuses on this new series around the human figure understood as a space of friction between the private and the visible. His work, mainly in oil and occasionally integrated with mixed media, positions itself in a dialogue between painting tradition and the visual languages of the digital environment. From there, he addresses issues related to surveillance, constant exposure, desire conditioned by the media, and the construction of identity in the context of contemporary networks.

His practice has surpassed the local sphere, taking part in international exhibitions and circuits in countries such as Spain, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, as well as in various cities in the United States. The contrast between the sensitivity of the anatomical treatment and the intrusion of symbols, texts, and visual structures typical of contemporary interfaces establishes a critical reading: the individual no longer inhabits only a physical space, but also a system of observation, recording, and constant consumption. In this context, the gaze ceases to be innocent to become a mechanism, and the body becomes content.

The use of color —vibrant, direct, sometimes almost disruptive— along with a visible, tactile brushstroke reinforces the idea of immediacy and visual saturation, evoking both the aesthetics of the urban and the accelerated logic of digital media. Each work functions as a field of conflict where desire, control, entertainment, and exposure converge.
