Description from the seller
Japanese Kiso Hinoki Onigiri Mold – KIYA Nihonbashi Tokyo – Wooden Triangle Rice Ball Maker – Made in Japan
Traditional Japanese onigiri mold made from premium Kiso Hinoki cypress wood by KIYA, a historic knife and kitchenware shop established in Nihonbashi, Tokyo since the late Edo period.
This beautifully crafted mold allows you to easily make perfectly shaped triangular rice balls. Simply wet the mold, fill it with rice and your favorite ingredients, then press with the wooden lid to release compact and evenly formed onigiri.
Made from aromatic Kiso Hinoki, the wood gently absorbs excess moisture from the rice, resulting in soft-textured and delicious rice balls with a subtle natural hinoki fragrance.
The compact size creates small onigiri that are easy to eat in a few bites, perfect for bento lunches, picnics, Japanese home cooking, or display in a traditional kitchen collection.
