Jan Timman - Chess set - plastic

In 1981, through Albert Heijn’s liquor store – Alberto – one could save up for this chess set.
It consists of the original case, which contains "a set of fine translucent chess pieces and a roll-up chessboard." Furthermore, in the case one finds a beginner’s chess book, a booklet with problems by Jan Timman and a problem specially designed by Timman – of which the 50 best solutions earned the right to play Grandmaster Timman in a simultaneous exhibition.

On the board and the case is printed the signature of Jan Timman.

The case is wearied by time and one bishop did not come perfectly pristine from the mold (see photos).
