Description from the seller
Not your doll - 03 (n.663)
The measurements are:
- collage: 70.00 x 50.00 cm
- collage + frame: 76.50 x 56.50 cm; thickness 2.50 cm
Acrylic painting on shredded paper on canvas
Framed; ready to be hung
I create paintings using acrylic colors and thousands of small pieces of recycled paper: everyday paper becomes art instead of ending up in the trash.
In my latest works I have focused on the theme of women treated as objects (dolls) and too often victims of violence, and these are the last pieces I have created.
On these little scraps of paper you can read words and phrases scattered here and there.
Often it happens this way when we really get close to another person: sometimes we perceive their secret messages, sometimes not.
The work is sold framed and ready to hang thanks to the hook on the back.
The surface features small reliefs and I enjoy caressing it, feeling it...
I also use clear acrylic resin on the surface, which gives a shiny effect and protects colors from sunlight and dust.

In this work I poured a series of emotions, using the technique of acrylic and collage to forge a vivid and intense impression. It is a painting that explores the depth of gaze and the expressive strength of gestures and color.
This piece will bring an unmistakable energy into your home, a dialogue between colors and sensations that vibrates with its own life and stimulates an intimate reflection on the perception of being.

Born in 1974, I am self-taught.
After an initial period dedicated to sculpture there was a long pause lasting almost twenty years. Since December 2014 I resumed with the "two dimensions" for lack of time and space, leaving sculpture behind and dedicating myself to acrylic paintings.
I love painting abstract landscapes but recently I have been pushing myself to paint faces of people, both imaginary and really existing.
For me painting is "freezing time" in that exact moment; a painting of mine is often a faded memory and therefore my works are "consumed, eroded by time". Sometimes the subjects of my paintings are corners of walls also eroded by time, with moss and fungi that – over time – grow on the surface.
Time that passes inexorably is the main theme of my works.
Coming from a wonderful experience with clay manipulation, I love sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch and my paintings are often characterized by reliefs clearly perceptible to the touch and to the naked eye.
In this recent period, after several years during which my works were made from pieces of recycled paper forming figures, I am pushing myself to explore Optical Art where I use painted wooden discs arranged in lines and grids repeated with mathematical rigor that up close seem to form a colorful abstract painting but as you move away a portrait emerges from the many painted wooden discs.
Violence against women is a theme that characterizes almost all of my works when I reproduce the faces of women, precisely to give them a voice when they do not have the strength or courage to report that they are not their partner’s dolls and cannot be mistreated or, worse, victims of violence.
