Description from the seller
Not your doll - 16 (n.678)
Measurements are:
- collage: 68.00 x 49.00 cm
- collage + collage passepartout + frame: 76.50 x 56.50 cm; thickness 2.50 cm
Acryl painting on shredded paper mounted on canvas
Framed; ready to hang
I create paintings using acrylic colors and thousands of tiny pieces of recycled paper: everyday paper becomes art instead of ending up in the trash.
In my latest works I have focused on the theme of women treated as objects (dolls) and too often victims of violence, and these are the last pieces I have made.
On these little bits of paper one can read words and phrases scattered here and there.
It often happens this way when we really approach another person: sometimes we sense their secret messages, sometimes not.
The piece is sold framed and ready to hang thanks to the hook on the back.
The surface shows small reliefs and I enjoy caressing it, feeling it...
I also use acrylic resin on the surface, which gives a glossy effect and protects the colors from sunlight and dust.

Each piece is securely packed, wrapped and protected for shipping and will arrive in a completely secure package, including the Certificate of Authenticity.
I use DHL/UPS couriers: shipping within Europe arrives in 24/48 hours; international shipping arrives in 48/72 hours. Some delays may be caused by customs clearance at borders.
Shipping takes about 7 days; about 10 days for non-EU countries.
A tracking number is provided.
Different light sources can give different colors to the photos.
Sizes may vary slightly since I personally prepare the wooden frame, stretch the canvas and fix it to the frame.

Thank you.

Born in 1974 I am self-taught.
After an initial period devoted to sculpture there was a long pause lasting almost twenty years. Since December 2014 I resumed with the “two dimensions” for reasons of time and space, leaving sculpture aside and dedicating myself to acrylic paintings.
I love painting abstract landscapes but recently I am also pushing myself to paint faces of people, both imaginary and real.
For me painting is “freezing time” at that exact moment; a painting of mine is often a faded memory and thus my works are “worn, eroded by time.” Sometimes the subjects of my paintings are corners of walls also eroded by time, with moss and mushrooms that – over time – grow on the surface.
The passage of time is the main theme of my works.
Coming from a wonderful experience with clay manipulation, I love sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch, and my works are often characterized by reliefs clearly perceptible to the touch and to the naked eye.
Recently, after several years in which my works were made from small pieces of recycled paper forming figures, I am pushing myself to explore Optical Art where I use painted wooden discs arranged in lines and grids with mathematical precision that up close seem to form a colorful abstract picture, but the further you go, a portrait appears formed by many painted wooden discs.
Violence against women is a theme that characterizes almost all my works when I reproduce female faces, precisely to give them a voice when they do not have the strength or courage to report that they are not their partner’s dolls and cannot be mistreated or, worse, victims of violence.
