Description from the seller
Omega stainless steel wristwatch, automatic Bumper model, for watch enthusiasts, just the name suffices to understand the type of movement known as hammer, as it was innovative for its time. We are in the immediate post-World War II era; in fact, this watch should be from 1948/1950, and unlike a normal automatic, where the oscillating weight spins around the watch, this one bounces on two lateral springs that then wind the watch, a true innovation for the era.
Diameter 34 mm, excluding crown, generic strap as well as the crown.
Watch in working order, all stamped both on the inner case back and on the movement with its serial number.
The watch has the small seconds at 6 o’clock, a dial with a two-tone aging as it should be, and the rarity of having a complete Arabic numeration.
Military-style watch.
Movement in excellent condition, but a conservative service by skilled vintage watchmakers is always advised.
With this watch, you are not buying a simple timepiece, but a piece of Swiss watchmaking history!
Tracked and insured shipping with DHL Express; for countries outside Europe, customs charges will be applied according to the importing country.
