Description from the seller
Up for sale is a true collector's piece and a masterpiece of watchmaking history: a pocket chronograph equipped with the Minerva 19/9CH movement. Minerva is globally renowned as one of the most significant chronograph manufacturers in history, and this particular piece represents the golden era of the brand.
Condition and Servicing
Movement: The legendary Minerva 19/9CH. The watch is running strong. Timekeeping is within approximately 30–60 seconds per day, with an amplitude of around 300°.
Chronograph: Functions flawlessly. A watchmaker has just inspected and adjusted the chronograph mechanism—resetting perfectly to the 12 o'clock position.
Dial: A stunning and exceptionally well-preserved enamel dial. Free of hairlines or chips, which is rare for a timepiece of this age.
Case: Solid .800 silver (hallmarked). The case features a beautiful, age-earned patina and normal signs of wear.
Please Note
The outer case back has detached from its hinge (see photos). However, it is a clean break, and a skilled silversmith can easily repair it if desired. The case back still snaps securely into place and stays put as is.
Technical Specifications
Diameter: Approx. 53 mm (excluding crown)
Material: .800 Silver
Movement: Manual-wind chronograph, Minerva cal. 19/9CH
This is a magnificent addition to any serious collection. A Minerva is an investment whose value and appreciation among enthusiasts remain steadfast.
