"Notice to the People on Their Health" is a medical work written by Samuel Auguste David Tissot (1728-1797), a renowned Swiss physician of the eighteenth century. Published for the first time in 1761, it has seen many reprints, including the 1771 edition you mention.
Content and purpose
The work is intended to inform the general public about the basic principles of hygiene and health, at a time when access to medical care was limited. Tissot addresses:
