Case - Wood

Splendid pallisander (rosewood) wooden chest, hand-carved and inlaid, interior lined with blue velvet fabric.
Estimated dating to the first half of the previous century.
Large and heavy chest: approximately 24x40x30 cm H x W x D, weight over 5 kilograms!
Material: The chest is made of exotic rosewood and adorned with inlays of bone camel bone or ivory, I don’t know which.
Design: The inlay depicts scenes of elephants in a natural landscape with palm trees, which is characteristic of this type of handicraft from Punjab.

Especially given its age, the chest is in very fine condition.
Light traces of use/age/wood aging, which actually give the object even more character and appearance.
