Rare antique covered serving dish for fine sweets, caviar, or delicacies, created by master silversmith Hermann Bauer in his workshop in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany, circa 1863–1870.
A refined two-part composition, combining finely hand-cut crystal with solid silver mounts, this piece reflects the exceptional craftsmanship of 19th-century German decorative arts. The elegant crystal bowl is topped with a matching crystal dome, fitted with a silver frame and handle, creating a luxurious yet understated presentation vessel.
