Génération Goldorak - ROLL’ART is a hand-signed, numbered resin sculpture by French artist SKE, edition 03/30, 20 cm high and 8 cm in diameter, in orange pop art style, created in 2026, with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
- Work provided with a certificate of authenticity, signed and numbered by the artist SKE.
- Number 03/30
With ROLL’ART, SKE develops a series of contemporary rolled sculptures, conceived as visual fragments, compressed memories, and pop icons transformed into works of art.
This variation plunges into the cult universe of Goldorak, the absolute symbol of a generation cradled by giant robots, unforgettable theme songs, intergalactic battles, and heroes from elsewhere.
Here, Goldorak is reinterpreted in a pop and street art aesthetic, between manga energy, graphic tension, bursts of red, deep black, metallic touches and urban composition. The character becomes almost a modern relic: a rolled piece of childhood, tied, preserved as a precious memory we would have refused to let disappear.
Rolled and held by a raw rope, the work takes on a strong sculptural dimension. It is no longer merely an image inspired by Japanese pop culture: it becomes a collectible object, a nostalgic capsule, a contemporary totem dedicated to the 80s, to cult cartoons, and to the heroic imagination that marked an entire generation.
Each copy is handmade, with its own curves, tensions, irregularities and details. Even in a limited edition, every piece thus retains the character of a singular work.
Made in 3 mm polymer material, this sculpture stands about 20 cm tall and 8 cm in diameter.
Edition limited to 30 copies, signed, numbered and accompanied by its certificate of authenticity.
A piece designed for collectors of contemporary art, pop art, and street art, but also for enthusiasts of Japanese culture, cult robots, vintage animation, and childhood memories. A work of nostalgia, graphic power and pop culture collectible, where Goldorak no longer just saves the Earth: it also saves a piece of our memory.
Artist Bio:
SKE is a self-taught French artist and all-rounder who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic work.
He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with a double meaning, fuse the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional year 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize at the Urban Master competition (2023) and then named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025), selected as "Artist of the Month" by Opulence Gallery in October, he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been shown in major venues in Europe, the United States and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE has also established himself in the digital art market, a major trend in the last two years, enhancing the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and texture play define a style that is now essential.
SKE is undoubtedly an artist to watch, to start or enrich a collection with growing value.
Artistic Status & Awards – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY
SKE’s work is part of a prestigious lineage. His line carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit classics, not hesitating to remix the Mona Lisa by Vinci, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to face a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA
Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming and comics is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the iconic Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel Super Heroes. SKE crystallizes these memories à la Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY
In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The dollar symbol sits beside the logos of luxury and fashion giants. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you encounter the sneaker universe (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to forget mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textures that evoke the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This artwork is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your interior.
