In this explosive scene, SKE distorts two popular icons: Lucky Luke and the balloon girl. But here, the cowboy does not shoot faster than his shadow… he shoots at a symbol.
The balloon, image of dream and innocence, bursts in mid-flight. Not to destroy, but to reveal. Like an invitation to step out of the illusions imposed by a world saturated with codes, brands and false desires.
Between dollars, references to consumption and raw urban textures, the work captures the energy of street art to deliver a simple message: sometimes you have to blow up the dream… to create a real one.
A pop & street piece that is direct, visual and impactful, faithful to SKE’s universe: playing with symbols to turn them around.
- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught, versatile French artist who grew up immersed in 80s/90s culture, inspiring the majority of his artistic works.
He continually explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with double meaning, fuse the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize at the Urban Master contest (2023), then named Newcomer of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by Opulence gallery in October, and has also been featured in an American art magazine, confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues across Europe, the United States and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. At the same time, SKE is making his mark in the digital art market, a major trend in the last two years, reinforcing the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and texture play define a style now indispensable.
SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to initiate or enrich a collection with rising value.
Awarded & Renowned Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work fits into a prestigious lineage. His line combines the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating subversion by Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit classics, not hesitating to distort the Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons of our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with characters like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics and graphic novels is pervasive: from Nintendo and the legendary Game Boy universe to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel heroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes recalling Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits next to luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the aesthetics of "Hype": featuring sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to forget mass-consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art, with textured finishes evoking the glossy surface of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This artwork is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your home."
