The earliest detailed work on modern human embryology with classic illustrations. By HAECKEL, Ernst (1834-1919) Regarded as the founder of modern morphology. Born in Potsdam, and studied medicine at Würzberg, Berlin and Vienna.
His Phyletic Museum in Jena contains the most illustrative collection of evolution and development in the world. Haeckel introduced Darwinism into Germany.
