Cilindro Cuatro rubies pocket watch with key-wound Lepine movement, a silver case bearing a hand-engraved architectural and landscape scene, 44 mm diameter, 65 g, in good condition with wear, and in working order, shipped insured.

Cylinder escapement pocket watch (19th century)
Type: Lepine pocket watch with key-winding and key-setting (key included).
Case: Silver (FS hallmark). Reverse with hand-engraved architectural scene and landscape, bordered by guilloché decoration and floral motifs.
Dimensions: Diameter 44.00 mm.
Weight: 65.69 g.
Dial: Bi-tonal enamel (creamy and white) with black Roman numerals. Subdial at six. Hands of the Louis XIV style in blued steel with ornamental cutouts.
Movement: Mechanical with independent bridges and cylinder escapement. Dust cover engraved "Cylindre quatre rubis".
Condition: Aesthetic in keeping with its age with natural wear on engravings. Dial intact with no apparent cracks. Movement complete, functioning although may require cleaning due to patina of oxidation.
Auction note: Highlights the uncommon design of the bi-tonal dial, an element that increases its decorative value versus standard white porcelain models of the period.
