This second volume of Kaplan's Encyclopedia of Tarot focuses on tarot decks from the 15th through the 19th centuries. Unlike the first volume (The Encyclopedia of Tarot), this book provides an in-depth history of specific decks, short biographies of important families (the Visconti and Sforza), and discusses the early development of tarot symbolism.
