August Walther & Söhne – “Diana” Cloud Glass Vase, 28 cm high, 16 cm wide, 12 cm deep, made of glass with Europa origin, in good vintage condition with minor signs of age, Art Deco period circa 1932–1940.

August Walther & Söhne – “Diana” Cloud Glass Vase – Catalogue No. 31460 – Germany – Art Deco period (circa 1932–1940)
Large and elegant German Art Deco cloud glass vase from the renowned manufacturer August Walther & Söhne, attributed to the “Diana” pattern, catalogue model 31460.
This model corresponds closely to documented Walther catalogues from the 1930s:
* Pattern name: Diana
* Catalogue number: 31460
* Height: 28 cm
* Production period: approximately 1932–1940
The vase is executed in beautiful sepia cloud glass (“Oralit” / “Cloud Glass”), characterized by flowing smoky inclusions suspended within the glass mass. Under UV light the vase shows a distinct manganese reaction, supporting an early 20th century production period.
The form is highly characteristic of German Art Deco design:
* elegant flared rim,
* tapered faceted body,
* sculptural footed base,
* warm sepia coloration with internal feathered decoration.
The vase remains highly decorative both in daylight and under ultraviolet light.
