B. Morah, Bosque Ingrávido 107 XL, an acrylic painting on cotton canvas, original edition, completed in 2026, signed by hand, unframed, 100 cm by 75 cm, a surreal landscape inspired by Magritte.
Description from the seller
INGRAVID Forest 107 is part of a series inspired by Magritte and contemporary surrealism.
This work is part of a series that sublimates the natural and the impossible in a single vision. In “Ingravíd Forest,” trunks float without roots, stripped of the gravity that ties them to the ground. The landscape becomes the setting for the improbable: a forest that is sustained not by the laws of physics, but by the rules of imagination.
The reference to Magritte is not casual: like him, the artist invites us to contemplate a world where the ordinary becomes strange, and the impossible, obvious. The trees suspended in the air compel us to rethink the concept of what is organic and stable, while the chromatic play — with electric blues, incandescent reds, and deep shadows — intensifies the dreamlike atmosphere.
This series raises essential questions: What happens when we take the weight off nature? Can weightlessness reveal another dimension of the landscape, one more emotional than physical? “Ingravíd Forest” is as much a metaphor as a provocation, a visual liberation act that defies logic to reveal a new poetic space.
“Ingravíd Forest” on its own evokes a powerful image: floating trees that challenge not only physics but also our perception of what a forest should be.
