The design is a direct reference to Vico Magistretti’s iconic Eclisse lamp (1965) and the Italian Space Age movement. The typological core is its interactive, mechanical nature: an adjustable chrome shield rotates within the lacquered red outer sphere, allowing the user to manually "eclipse" the light source and regulate the intensity from a direct glow to an indirect, ambient backlight.

The contrast between the vibrant pop-art red shell, the industrial chrome base with its characteristic cutout, and the white glass diffuser embodies the material experimentation of late 1960s radical design.
