AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Stunning and heavy 18th-century mortar, with pestle, in gilded bronze. Large in size, in impeccable condition. Truncated-cone model with a flared neck, on a thick, overhanging base. Rare decoration, consisting of four bearded and helmeted warrior busts. Height of the mortar: 14.5 cm, diameter 17 cm, base diameter 12 cm. Pestle 23 cm long. Weight of the mortar 4.04 kg, weight of the pestle 0.69 kg, totaling 4.73 kg (10.43 pounds).
The medal seems strongly inspired by helmets like those made by Filippo Negroli (Milan 1510-1579). No flaws, no restorations, beautiful patina, sounds/tolls like a bell.
Carefully packed with weight in mind (about 6 kg), fast shipping with tracking and additional insurance by Colissimo.
