Description from the seller

Robert Pierini — Flacon “Oeuvre en Verre,” Ref. RF6 Biot, France — Centre d’Art du Verre Pierin

A stunning one-of-a-kind blown glass flacon ( height 19 cms and width 10 cms) by Robert Pierini, one of France’s most celebrated master glassmakers, born in 1950 in Toulon and trained at the Biot glassworks before establishing his independent atelier in a 15th-century oil mill in Biot in 1980.

This exceptional piece, designated RF6, is a large-format perfume bottle form comprising a domed spherical body surmounted by a globe stopper. The interior showcases layers of deep cobalt blue, emerald green, chartreuse yellow, and gold foil inclusions, arranged in concentric swirling bands with fine dark threading. Intentional controlled bubbles are suspended throughout the clear outer casing, adding depth and luminosity. The palette shifts dramatically with the angle of light, revealing iridescent amber, violet, and teal tones on the reverse.

The flat base bears the engraved designation “RF6” in the artist’s hand, and the piece comes with its original Certificat d’Authenticité, confirming it was personally conceived and created by Robert Pierini in design, form, and color — a true pièce unique.

Pierini’s works are celebrated for their fascinating colors, shapes, and graphic patterns, reflecting a constant artistic evolution.
